Our vines
Château Moncontour Vineyard is build of different “Terroir” located are on few villages of the AOC Vouvray such as Reugny, Vernou or Sens. Its soils either calcareous & clay-like or clay-like and siliceous allow for the production of different types of wines: sparkling wines or still wines that can be dry, medium-dry or sweet.
A specific work will be performed in each part (pruning, soil work, leaves stripping) depending on the type of wine (sparkling, dry or sweet) that will get the best of the soil characteristics.
We follow the principles of "agriculture raisonnée" that aims at reducing to a minimum the use of chemicals and better protect the environment.
